We celebrate that CBD is central in today’s wellness zeitgeist and that people from all walks of life are discovering its restorative powers. Given CBD’s recent rise in popularity though, we thought it would be helpful to have good information on this website. We are here to help you figure out how best to incorporate this plant-based remedy into your daily routine. First up, we are going to discuss why it is not psychoactive.
Is CBD Psychoactive?…In basic terms, CBD doesn’t make you high.
You may have heard of CBD products that are federally legal and asked yourself, “Is CBD Psychoactive?”
While CBD is not psychoactive, perhaps the better question is whether CBD is intoxicating or not. CBD alone is not intoxicating and, therefore, won’t produce euphoric feelings.
Both CBD and THC are cannabinoids, the active compounds that provide the effects from ingesting cannabis. One of the key differences between CBD and THC is that CBD (cannabidiol) is non-intoxicating.
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the chemical compound in cannabis that is responsible for producing euphoric effects. While THC is most plentiful in marijuana, CBD is present in higher quantities in hemp, which is why our CBD products contain no more than trace levels of THC and derived from pure hemp.
Some users report feeling increased relaxation when taking CBD. While this may be misperceived as being intoxicated, it is simply an effect of the CBD and shouldn’t be confused with the impairing psychoactive effects of THC. As such, low-THC and CBD products with no detectable amount of THC offer the natural benefits of cannabidiol without THC’s intoxicating, or psychoactive, effects.
Now that we know if CBD is psychoactive (alone it isn’t), read more below about the differences between CBD and THC as well as those between the cannabis plants hemp and marijuana to decide if non-intoxicating CBD is right for you.
CBD is a non-psychoactive active substance that is naturally present in the flowers and leaves of the cannabis plant. European organically grown (fiber) hemp is used for the extraction. CBD has recently become a popular dietary supplement in a short period of time (and rightly so!) – We should not, however, provide any information about possible healthy benefits of CBD. We encourage everyone to do their own research, consult a doctor, and then come to a conclusion yourself. Because there is a lot of information on the internet about CDB Oil, we can imagine that it can sometimes be difficult to place the information and all terminology correctly.
